The Ulster County Medical Society is accredited by the Medical Society of the State of New York to sponsor and provide CME Category I credits for educational programs and related activities. Top
Legislative Advocacy

Membership Meetings
The Ulster County Medical Society holds four membership meetings per year and are scheduled, according to the bylaws, for the second Tuesday of March, May, October and December. Top
Committees
All members are invited and encouraged to participate on one or more of the following committees; public health, public relations, peer review, legislation, CME, managed care/insurance, and membership development. Top
Physician Referral Service
The Ulster County Medical Society provides physician referrals to the general public on a daily basis. This service is free to the physician member and to the caller. Upon request, our policy is to provide the caller with a list of three physicians in the specified location and medical specialty, A rotating database is the current method being used for our referral service. Through our endorsement with Charles J. Quarterly Newsletter
The Society's newsletter is produced on a quarterly basis and contains information about Society matters, medical economics, malpractice, legislation, workers' compensation, pertinent statewide issues, etc. The newsletter contains classified, quarter, half and full-page advertising. Top
Professional Staff
Your County Medical Society is currently staffed by its full-time Executive Director and Office Secretary. They remain ready to provide personal assistance to you and your office staff. Should you require assistance in hiring office staff, should you need mailing labels to notify colleagues of a change of address or a new associate, should your office need a supply of workers' compensation forms, should you need reliable advice when you are faced with unusual problems relating to your practice, should you need information about community services available to your patients, should you need an address for an out-of-town colleague or should you just need information about the Medical Society. We are a resource for general legal issues, policy, medical ethics and legislative updates. Top
